For the first time in over seven hundred years, here is the great Mosque Of Cordoba as it was seen in the year 1260 by the Catholic King Alphonso the Tenth, Known as Alphonso the Wise, Who was so taken with its beauty that he dreamed of having his own tomb there. He entrusted four Moslem wokmen with the mission of ensuring that, in his words, "nothing in the Mosque be removed or destroyed".
In order to bring to life this important moment in the spiritual history of Andalusia, this model, with the splendor of its original 900 columns, recreates the rainbow-like arcades that seem to reach into infinty.
